Year SIX!

Looking back on this unbelievable year, it stretched us in more ways than we can explain, pushing us to our limits. This was a year that showed us both how far we’ve come and where we still have work to do.

As we continue to take on larger, more complex projects and expand our team, it has become clear that success at this stage looks a little different. It is less about simply growing, and more about growing well - building the right team, improving how we operate, and staying true to what got us here in the first place.

As always, we’re incredibly grateful to our team, our clients, and our community for being part of the journey!

Let’s reflect back on the goals we set on April 1, 2025, and how we performed:

  • Maintain a Customer Satisfaction Score of 4.9/5
    • With over 425 projects completed across 125+ nonprofit clients, we maintained a CSAT score of 4.9/5.
  • Maintain work/life balance for the team
    • Work/life balance remains a constant focus as we continue to grow, and we’re improving how we distribute work across the team. We’ve introduced new and improved group health benefits, and we are proud to have launched our work-from-abroad program in 2025, which includes 10 days of working from anywhere each calendar year!
  • Continue to Donate 1% of Revenue to Nonprofits
    • We donated $45,000 in 2025 and over $10,000 to mark our sixth anniversary, bringing our all-time nonprofit donations since launch to just over $150,000.
  • Stay true to our values as we grow
    • We continue to prioritize this with each decision we make and incorporate it into our daily workflows by living our values in every client and team interaction.
  • Expand our delivery capabilities
    • We worked on many exciting projects across different products, including our first Agentforce projects and deeper work across Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Share more client impact stories
    • We published 15 client impact stories, and we are grateful to be trusted to share these transformational technology journeys with everyone!
  • Add a Client Partner to our sales team
    • Gail joined our team as a Client Partner in September 2025!
  • Grow in a sustainable way
    • We saw strong YoY growth (~29%), exceeded our sales goals, and expanded our team from 21 to 30 people. With such rapid growth, our focus for the rest of 2026 is to stabilize and improve systems to set us up for success.

Highlights

One of the highlights this year was the growth of our Managed Services team (nicknamed “The Avengers”), led by Reagan, which grew from 1 to 8 people. This team works to be a true extension of the organizations they support - providing proactive advisory and ongoing support, helping nonprofits across their entire tech stack. We’re excited about the role this team will continue to play as Passion Fruit grows.

Our Delivery team continues to expand its capabilities, delivering more projects with Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Agentforce. Nonprofit Cloud has continued to be our core platform, working with nonprofits to implement systems supporting fundraising, case management, program management, volunteer management, grantmaking, and more. We also continue to expand our expertise in trusted and new apps on the AppExchange and other 3rd-party tools as nonprofits adapt to new technologies to support their customized needs.

While onboarding many new nonprofit clients, we’re grateful to still be supporting many of the organizations we’ve worked with since the early days. We will continue to prioritize long-lasting relationships with the nonprofits we partner with.

We also had an incredible year for our people!

Lihan, Jenn, and Reagan all celebrated their 5-year anniversaries with Passion Fruit Partners - a milestone that comes with a well-earned sabbatical. We also had 10 promotions across the company, reflecting the incredible talent on our team and our commitment to developing leaders.

Spending time in person also remains a priority for our team. In addition to the in-person local meetups we plan throughout the year, we also host many board game nights, Open Source Commons Sprint Meetups, Dreamin’ conference meetups, and more! These moments remain among the most meaningful parts of what we do. Having just come back from our company retreat at Loon Lake, it remains a special place for the team to plan for the future, build community, and celebrate each other!

Lessons Learned

1. Forecasting and resourcing need constant attention

As we grow, this becomes more complex - and more important. Making sure we have the right people on the right projects at the right time, while also maintaining a balanced workload, is a big focus and priority.

2. Elevate our team & focus on leadership alignment

Promoting team members into leadership roles, bringing in experienced hires, and trusting them to do great work and including them in decisions that will impact the team will continue to be critical to our success. With a larger leadership group, ensuring clear communication, consistent messaging, and strong alignment across the company is more important than ever.

3. Growth requires better systems, not just more people

As projects become more complex, we need to continue improving our processes and how we operate - not just expand the team. Taking a moment to pause, audit and understand how we are currently doing things and how we can do them better is more critical than ever.

4. Protecting our culture

When our team was at 10 people, it was easy to have a walk-and-talk and know what was going on in each of our lives. With 30 people, we have to work 3x harder to create opportunities for people to connect and protect each other. More than ever, culture remains a key focus to make sure we are listening and reflecting our values.
