30 People. One Team. A Shared Vision for What Comes Next at Our Annual Retreat.

Last month, the Passion Fruit Partners team came together at Loon Lake in British Columbia for our annual company retreat. This is an important tradition and a highlight of the year for our team, because it means we all come together in person. Real hugs included. 🥰

This year did not disappoint. We reflected on everything we achieved in 2025, celebrating promotions, customer stories, milestones, and the incredible people behind them. But the moments that will stick with us longest happened outside of any agenda.

Key memories unlocked: A forest scavenger hunt turned into pure theatre, complete with dramatic proposals in the rain by the dock. Our team spirit challenge, led by Pinnacle Pursuits, had every single person showing up with everything they had, even in the pouring rain, battling it out so fiercely that it all came down to a gripping tie-breaker to earn charity dollars for their favourite nonprofits. We also kept our favourite traditions alive, gathering around the bonfire, canoeing on the lake, some singing our hearts out, and some pouring their soul into playing musical instruments, and yes, there was even tango dancing. 🕺 Everyone's unique talents got to shine in ways our regular working environment just doesn't allow for.

A huge thank you to Loon Lake for being such generous hosts. The food was incredible, the setting was perfect, and the backdrop made every moment feel that much more special.

We closed out the retreat the way it deserved to be closed: by celebrating each and every team member with personalized awards crafted by their team leads, and by taking the time to express genuine gratitude to one another. In a world that moves fast, those moments of acknowledgment mean everything.

PFP team member Andy said it best: "It is still a major piece of why working here at PFP is transformational. I love our time together and am beyond grateful that it is still a priority. Putting this group of people together in one place is pure magic.”

One of the things that made this year so special was seeing our more experienced team members pay it forward for the newer generation of PFP. Udai captured the feeling perfectly: "Meeting everyone that I don't get to work with every day in person and having time to sit and get to know them was the highlight for me. It was great, good pace, didn't feel rushed and I was able to actually disconnect from work for the week."

And the effects linger well beyond the trip itself, because as Andy noted, "Most walls are down, and new relationships are more comfortable and it's palpable on team calls. Kickoffs and happy hours have shown a marked increase in participation, enthusiasm and warmth."

Jennifer summed it up simply and beautifully: the retreat was "Valuable for the whole team."

This is also the first year we are implementing V2MOM at Passion Fruit Partners, and we were so excited to share our company's V2MOM with the whole team. That kicked off a team exercise where each team built out their own V2MOM, a living document of how they'll show up at PFP and how they'll grow as individuals along the way.

When we started PFP, giving back was central to who we are, and that hasn't changed. Through employee-directed giving woven throughout the retreat, we had lots of fun and friendly competition that added up to donating over $10,000 to nonprofits that matter to our team. ❤️

We're already listening hard to what our team wants to make next year even better.

Moments like this together remind us why we do what we do. Strong teams build meaningful impact across our incredible nonprofit customer base, and we couldn't be prouder of every single member who makes PFP what it is today.

Here's to what we create next!
